Job Description

We are hiring a Welding Inspector for a short-term assignment in Qatar's Oil & Gas sector. The successful candidate will oversee welding inspections, fabrication processes, and NDE activities for piping and pressure vessels. Responsibilities include reviewing WPS/PQR, qualifying welders, and conducting visual inspections. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and relevant international certifications like CSWIP 3.1 or AWS. The candidate must be proficient in monitoring preheat/interpass temperatures, PWHT, and NDE requirements to ensure the integrity of mechanical equipment and structural components.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification. • Mandatory CSWIP 3.1 or AWS Welding Inspector certification. • 6-8 years of overall relevant experience. • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. • Strong experience in welding inspection, fabrication, and NDE activities. • Good working knowledge of WPS/PQR, welder qualification, and welding consumables.
